Alanis Morissette

Alanis Nadine Morissette was born Ottawa, Canada, on the 1st June, 1974. Alanis can be described as the female form of Alan his father's last name. Her mother's name is Georgia and she has two brothers: Chad as well as Wade (Alanis"Twin). She started playing piano and guitar when she turned 21. In 1986, Alanis created a song titled Fate Stay With I (b-side: Find The Right Man). She recorded two albums as a dance-pop performer from Canada: Alanis (1991) and The Time Is The Time (1992). Her move to Toronto in the year 18, and began working alongside music and writers, but these partnerships didn't pan out. Then she met her new partner in the year 1994: Glen Ballard. He had previously worked with artists like Aretha, Michael Jackson, and Barbra. Her move to LA at the age of 19.
